My name is Christine and I am the founder and author of Small Daily Habits.

I’m 46 years young, a wife of 23 years, and a mom of three beautiful kiddos ranging in age from 23-12. I have 2 boys and a girl, so I know the joys and struggles that come with both. I cherish spending time with my family, family meals, dancing, reading, being creative, going to the theater, and spending time near water. These are the things that sooth my soul. I also have a deep passion for health and wellness. My wellness journey began as a dancer at the age of 2 although I didn’t know it then. Dance taught me disciple, connection, and that the love I pour into my body is the key to high performance and longevity. I believe the same is true for daily living.

After becoming a mom, I became a personal trainer and group fitness instructor and did so for 10 years.  I dreamed of helping other moms get fit, stay fit, and find the balance that comes with motherhood. I worked in gyms and on my own as a trainer then became a FIT4MOM franchisee. For 3 years I helped moms in the NH area create healthy habits for themselves as well as their families. I made the hard decision to close my franchise in 2016. Motherhood was calling me to be more present at home as my husbands’ career was becoming more demanding at the same time that my children’s schedules were becoming fuller.

Fast forward to January 2023 and my heart was telling me it was time to get back to my roots.

I reached out to some of my FIT4MOM tribe as well as some close friends/family and created a Facebook group called 52 habits in 52 weeks which lead me into creating Small Daily Habits and getting recertified as a personal trainer and menopause specialist. Through this blog and my newsletters, I plan to share my knowledge on everything from healthy eating and exercising to raising a strong healthy family. That means managing stress levels, organizing the chaos that comes with being a parent and everything that falls in between.

My approach to health and wellness is holistic – I believe that a healthy mind, body, and spirit are all essential for living a happy, healthy, and fulfilling life. I understand the unique challenges that moms (and all parents) face when it comes to staying healthy, and I am dedicated to helping others overcome those challenges and achieve their goals.

Whatever your health goals are, I hope to be your guide to living your best life through Small Daily Habits!

I am so excited to embark on this new journey with you. This blog will be a peek inside my day-to-day life as a mom who is determined to make my home and those who dwell here, healthy in mind, body, and spirit.

My mission is to model a lifestyle that inspires. One that makes you believe that anyone can build a life around optimal health and overall wellness AND make it one you truly enjoy!

I also hope to portray that you don’t have to be perfect to do so. I still eat fast food on occasion, skip workouts when life gets crazy(or I get lazy), and generally fall victim to being human and imperfect. Progress over perfection is what I strive for.

Let’s be honest……..many of us have the desire to be healthier in one way or another. However, we often find ourselves overwhelmed with where to start or unsure of how to make lasting changes. Not to mention, in our ever-busy world, we are always short on time. That’s where Small Daily Habits comes in!

I will guide your steps and help you establish routines that fit YOU and YOUR lifestyle. Soon you will see that small changes can lead to BIG results and these daily routines are the key to long-term success.

What is ONE thing you can change today that will greatly impact your health in the near future?

Think about that for a moment…..

My suggestion is to take a few minutes today to determine ONE thing that needs immediate attention. Maybe you need to hydrate more, go to sleep earlier, improve your mental health, get some exercise, incorporate more fruits and veggies into your nutrition plan, or get outside more.

Maybe you need some alone time to collect your thoughts or time to hook up with an old friend to chat while doing something healthy like taking a walk, meal prepping together, or planning a much needed vacation. Only you know what you need right now. So what is it?

Once you choose your ONE thing, ask yourself what is ONE small step I can take right now to make this happen?

Then do it.

How does that make you feel? I’m willing to bet it feels amazing and you want more. So……ask yourself again, what is ONE more small step I can take?

Then do it. You see where I am going with this?

Simple in concept but not easy to implement when you want results yesterday right? You are going to have to trust me on this one. I know that is a big ask since some of us are meeting for the very first time BUT….I am asking anyway. Be patient and stay consistent with small, achievable steps and the results will come.

They may even come quicker than you anticipated. Why?

Because small steps that you barely notice have a tendency to stick. Things that stick, make you feel good, and things that feel good get your attention and priority. Whatever gets your attention and priority gets results.

Period.

We often get caught up in the BIG picture and find ourselves overwhelmed and paralyzed. I’m here to remind you that you don’t have to do all the things today.

In fact, I suggest you don’t.

If you are looking to make real and lasting change your daily habits are what will get you there. I love the saying that you can do ANYTHING but you can’t do EVERYTHING. Choose wisely!

I believe that health and wellness is not a one-size-fits-all approach. What works for one person may not work for another. That’s why I’ll provide a variety of options and ideas that you can tailor to your individual needs and preferences.

I am far from perfect when it comes to healthy choices. Growing up in the restaurant business has made me into an adult who enjoys food immensely. I know exactly what my fitness routine needs to be, but I don’t always prioritize it. I also suffer from lack of motivation at times and put others before myself (#momlife).

As you can see, I don’t always make the right choices BUT……the majority of the time I do and that’s because I have practices in place and daily habits that help me to stay on track even when life gets busy. It’s called being human, finding balance, and enjoying life even when you aren’t being perfect. Progress over perfection is my motto. Small daily habits is my solution!
